Days after the Yemeni armys retaliatory aerial attacks on vital Emirati facilities in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the UAE-backed mercenary troops announced they were pulling out of the areas they had occupied in strategic Marib province. They moved their military equipment to the Ataq district in eastern Shabwah province and called this move "repositioning."
Military experts say the UAEs pullout is the result of the recent operations by the Yemeni Army and its allied popular forces both on the ground and against several facilities inside Emirati territories, including the attacks on the Abu Dhabi Airport and Al Dhafra Air Base.
Recently, the UAE has been escalating its military operations in Marib and Shabwah provinces as well as its airstrikes across Yemen, killing more civilians, including children.
This has pushed the Yemeni army to launch wide-scale operations deep inside Emirati territories.
People here say the UAE has come to realize that de-escalation is the only way to protect its territories from the Yemeni armys aerial attacks.
However, the Yemeni military says it will continue its operations until expelling foreign powers and their proxies from all Yemeni territories.
